High Point Awards: 15 and Under

1-2-3-5-6-8-18-20-21-22-24-25-26-28-30

High Point Awards: 16 and Over

1-2-4-5-7-8-18-20-21-23-24-25-27-28-30

 

$$$ Calcutta – The audience bids to own the horse and rider for this event. All money bid is pooled and distributed to the wining “owners” based on placement of the top three horses. First Place receives 50%, Second Place receives 35% and third place receives 15%. The Riders receive trophy and ribbons.

 

** Walk Trot, Lead Line and Grooms Class – Participants in these events are NOT eligible for any other performance class. Lead Line riders are Not Eligible for Walk Trot Class (19).

General Guidelines:

  • The Horse show is not liable for theft, accident or injury to rider, equipment or horse.
  • NO ONE under the age of 18 may show a Stallion
  • All contestants must wear proper attire except in classes:  10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-29
  • The decision of the judge is final
  • FIVE-minute tack change allowed if notified to the announcers booth
  • No entries are refunded
  • The Show Committee has the right to combine, cancel or divide a class when necessary (3 entries per class minimum)
  • The Show Committee has the right to refuse check or issue tabs
  • A $40.00 charge on all returned checks

 

If you have not been to the Big Rock Plowing Match Horse Show before, we think you are in for a treat!

 

The Show is designed to be educational, fun and maybe even financially rewarding. Cash awards are given to high point winners and a general drawing at the end of the show for $100.00 if you placed in any event. You must be available at the end of the show with your ribbon(s) in order to claim your prize. No Stand-ins Please!

 

Our Judge was selected for the show to help you improve your ride and make sure you are having FUN in the process. You may be in for a surprise in some of the classes.

 

AMPLE TRAILER PARKING IS AVAILABLE

Come early to also enjoy the rest of the fun and rides on the grounds at the festival.

 

Driving direction to Big Rock: Located 11 miles west of Aurora, just off of US Route 30. To get to the park heading west, turn left off of Rte 30 on to Rhodes Road.  Cross over the railroad tracks and immediately turn right on to Hinckley Road. Proceed approximately ½ mile west to Plowman’s park. Enter through the main gate and proceed around the baseball field to the trailer area.
